Over the last year or so the Australian Institute of Professional Photography (AIPP) have had many of their members volunteer their time and expertise to make portraits of as many WW2 veterans as possible. It has been a collaboration between the AIPP, RSL and the Australian War Memorial More about the Reflections Project can be seen here on the AIPP website
Many AIPP photographers have donated so much of their time to create this very important record and legacy. I have done about 30-40 vets in and around Canberra and it has been a humbling experience and one my son and I will never forget. My son Henry decided he’d like to make a book of our experiences photographing the veterans. Henry asked each veteran some questions, kept notes and then he put my camera on the tripod and we had a portrait with each veteran for Henry’s book.

Below are some of the veterans I photographed and apologies to those I have not included.
